Round Two

This round runs from Monday 23rd August to Sunday 17th October 2010. The midway point for bonus points and a FREE tube of tennis balls is: Sunday 19th Sept, 2010

"What a great game of tennis!! said Kwesi Ackah of his match against Ebby John in group 2.  “The match saw a lot of interesting and hard fought rallies where both players were chasing down tough shots to produce attacking shots from nowhere. Ebby caused lots of problems by using his left handed forehand crosscourt to really test Kwesi's backhand. However, despite patchy serving Kwesi was able to edge two extremely fun sets of tennis.”
 
Do hope you all found similar good form this round and enjoyed it as much! As you know it finished on Sunday. Many thanks as always for all your hard work scheduling matches, and getting so many games played.
 
There will be another round, running 22 Nov 2010 to 30 Jan 2011 as we know there are people who want to keep up their tennis all year. If you are one of them, why not re-join here now (no need to re-do the form).

GROUP ONE:
WINNER: Shoel Stadlen
Our defending champ from round one, Shoel, successfully defended his title, winning by a good margin.   He had one unfinished match, against Rory, which was also his toughest. Alas, it was Rory’s only appearance this round. Who knows what might have happened had he had more matches, but as it is, Shoel wins again. Well played.
 
GROUP TWO :
WINNER: Kwesi Ackah
This was Kwesi’s league debut, and very impressive it was too. Virtually all his matches were keenly fought, but he was undefeated in four matches. With a record like that, plus bonus points, he becomes the undisputed winner of the group! Congratulations.
